I will be sleeping on an air mattress with a sleeping bag.
The sleeping bag is just a regular one that is wool on the inside. It is probably rated to 50F. Will I even notice the 60F lows when the high is at 90F.

Interview conducted by Eileen Hurst. Luis Arguelles enlisted in the US Army in 2003. He went to basic training at Fort Benning, Ga., and was then transferred to Fort Irwin, Ca., a training base for soldiers who were going to be deployed to Iraq. In the January of 2005, Arguelles was deployed to Iraq where his units’ first assignment was in Northern Iraq (Taji). One of their jobs in Taji was to support the effort to look for weapons of mass destruction (WMD’s). However, his main job was as a gunner for the truck that held the units 1st Sergeant. He also held this job when his unit was transferred to Abu Ghraib prison after six months. The shifts for this duty were 12 hours long, and much of the units’ time was spent in the truck. Arguelles describes the conditions that were part of their daily life, including the temperatures, the food, and the supplies. When the soldiers were able to sleep and relax, their barracks were in the prison cells at Abu Ghraib. During his time in Baghdad, he also witnessed three IED (improvised explosive device) explosions, in one of which he was injured. When he returned to the US in January of 2006, he was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury as well as a severe back injury due to this incident. The remainder of Arguelles’ active duty was spent at Fort Irwin, where he was discharged from in the summer of 2006. After his discharge, he traveled to Florida, and then moved back to Connecticut to find a job. At the time of the interview

Authors@Google: Rainn Wilson

The Authors@Google program welcomed Rainn Wilson to Google’s New York office to discuss his book, ‘Soul Pancake”. “Have you ever wondered what happens after you die? If you only had one hour left to live, how would you spend it? How do your thoughts affect reality? How does knowing the intention behind a work of art affect your experience of it? Rainn Wilson, best known for his deft portrayal as Dwight on NBC’s “The Office,” teamed up with his friends and dares to discuss life’s biggest questions. The new book, SoulPancake, is dedicated to stimulate your brain, spark your soul, and figure out what it means to be human. Based on the popular website, www.SoulPancake.com, the new book urges readers to get creative and dig deep into topics such as love, sex & relationships; life & death; art & creativity; the brain & the soul; and science & technology. Packed with thought-provoking essays, bold questions, and mind-bending art from nearly 100 up-and-coming artists, the book takes you on a creative and philosophical journey.” This event took place on November 10, 2010.

Any suggestions for a good kid's sleeping bag?

My daughter is starting a new daycare soon and they requested that she bring a sleeping bag. I noticed that the kids sleep on a flat carpeted surface in the sleepy area for her class. Any suggestions on a good sleeping bag (i want it to be cushioned enough for her) for a child?

FYI: She’s only 2

What's some fun stuff to bring camping?

I’ll be camping for one night. The meals i’m having are dinner and breakfast, plus snacks. I’m going to be with two boys and, not including me, four other girls. I know I should bring a lantern and a sleeping bag, a pillow, and other basics like that, but i’m not sure what else to bring. Also, we’re trying to think of more entertainment stuff, so that would be good too. We’re only two minutes walking distance from the hosts house, so things being too heavy or too large isn’t an issue. Ideas on things to bring?

Cold Weather Alcohol Stove Testing

Testing a new alcohol stove i made from a miller aluminum bottle. It was 28 degrees F and winds blowing at 20 mph. (according to weather.com) if you’d like to learn how to make either of the stoves drop a comment or message and i can make a quick video. There are plenty already available so i didn’t want to be redundant. I will be reviewing a new sleeping bag and come rock climbing gear soon. Thanks!
