ok so i went with the Kelty Corona 30 Degree Camping Double Sleeping Bag now i need a good tent, one that will stand against rain and not leav me in a puddle like my last tent….. no seriously at 3 am i woke to find my but submurged in water.. decided to ignore it and by the time i woke up i might as well have slept in the near by stream….
my point is i i want a tent good enough for at LEAST 2 people that will keep bugs and rain out.. and iam trying to find one at a good price, i really dont want to spend more than 150$, but i will if i have to
lol thx alot guys i have looked at quite a few tents that you have recomended and now its just about choosing, but i found out what i wanted, and as for the sleeping bag
the reason i went with the one i did was beacuse iam not alone (hint hint) and its not going to get to much colder and i can always grab more blankets, but i have already choosen a sleeping bag llike the one mentioned that goes below 0, for when i do go hiking
A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Krabi, Thailand by TravelPod blogger Yogurtfinders titled “Yoghurt thieving monkeys and jellyfish hats” Yogurtfinders’s travel blog entry: “Our first morning in Krabi was spent lying in bed enjoying clean sheets and air conditioning, we ventured downstairs and sat chatting with Andy about the various tours and trips on offer. We had planned to stay in Krabi a couple of days then make our way to one of the many outlying islands that were easily accessible from there including Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta. Andy gave us a lift to the Tiger cave temples (Wat Tham Sua) about 8kms outside of Krabi. The site is home to dozens of kutis (monastic cells) set into the limestone cliff, Tiger Cave is so called because a large tiger apparently lived there leaving its huge paw prints as proof, we didn’t see any footprints! We walked into the site, passing a temple under construction and plenty of people lazing around under the trees. We spotted lots of signs warning “beware monkey steal things” not thinking much of it we nipped into the shop to buy some drinks as we planned to climb the 1237 steps up to the top of a 600m high karst peak as we were told the views were stunning. Passing through a narrower walkway we started to spot lots of gibbons hanging from trees and grouped around an area with tyres and various obstacles to keep them amused but otherwise they were roaming free. Al had bought a yogurt drink from the shop and was holding …
I haven’t gone camping since I was about 12, so I have absoultely no camping gear, unless you count my princess sleeping bag that will probably go to my waist.
He has no camping gear either, because he just moved out and everything he had was his parents.
So we’re going shopping for all new stuff, stuff thats really strong and durable so they will last for a long long time. Price isn’t important to us at all..
If you have any camping gear that you absolutely love, give us a link to the store name.
Most likely we’ll be shoppping at target/walmart/academy
We need a checklist to make sure we don’t forget anything, because once we go, we’re going for a week, and were not coming back for anything. And we’re camping in the middle of now where, so we can’t go buy anything.
A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Chiang Mai, Thailand by TravelPod blogger Candj titled “Chiang Mai” Candj’s travel blog entry: “Our next stop after Phuket was Chiang Mai. Since Chiang Mai is about a 24 hour bus ride we decided to save time and fly. Fistly from Phuket to Bangkok, then Bangkok to Chiang Mai. I managed to find two real budget flights with an airline called Nok Air (from Phuket to Bangkok), which is basically the same as Freedom Air – same colour uniform and everything and with Air Asia from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Let me tell you it was an experience. Half hour after the first flight was supposed to have left I asked the airport staff how long till the flight would be leaving as we had a connecting flight with another airline only to be told it would be delayed 8 hours, and we would leave at 1.30am…. Meaning we would not be able to catch our non refundable flight leaving at 9pm from Bangkok… I have to say I was one of the least annoyed though as most people had international flights to get!!! After another hour of no news we were told to get into busses and were taken to a 5 star resort where we were all given a complimentary meal and room from about 8.30pm till just after midnight when they picked us up again! Asides from just wanting to get to Chiang Mai, it was quite nice to pretend we were rich and famous and hang out in the the nicest resort I have ever seen for a few hours!! On arrival in Bangkok at 2.30am the NOk air staff …
www.simplyhike.co.uk The Coleman Hudson Double Sleeping Bag offers you that little bit of luxury while camping. It features a soft lining and pillow pocket to keep in place during the night, while its insulation retains heat extremely effectively keeping you warm during the night.
Is there a difference between brands within these categories (when it comes to warmth and heat radiation that is)? Basically, if I show up in -30, or even -40, degree weather with a bag rated to -20, am I in a world of hurt?
