Is it safe for a 2 month old to sleep in one during the night? It might be an obvious question but I am not sure if there is any risk of sids?
I’m taking my 12 month old camping in the UK this weekend for the first time.
I’ve got a Vango Nitestar baby sleeping bag but am unsure how many layers to dress my baby in for bedtime. It’s forecast to be 7-9 degrees celsius.
Any guidance from camping parents gratefully received!
I have seen several brands of water proofing spray. Can you water proof a sleeping bag to eliminate the need for a tent or bivy sack.
So I’m looking for a lite weight sleeping bag, something that will keep me warm, something thats compact, and something that will not make me uncomfortable if it gets wet via condensation.

Brentd’s travel blog entry: “We arrived in Moab late afternoon on Monday. Found an awesome campsite in a canyon (i forget the name) that Alyssa knew about. One of the coolest campsite I’ve been to, deep in a canyon and up against a cliff – check out the photos. Once we got the spot, we went to Alyssa’s friends Ronda and TJ’s place to build up bikes and bbq. Moab is an awesome town, with bikes on cars everywhere you look. It’s a classic small town that caters to tourists, with more hotels/motels and bike shops than anything else. We got to the thrift shop, Poison Spider, an outdoors store, and at Fiesta, Moab Brewery, the Diner, Peace Cafe, and a few others. Ronda and TJ came out to dinner with us at the Brewery. Day one was an amazing ride on Porcupine Rim. We had two cars and were able to shuttle it. The landscape was gorgeous and took us from alpine-ish snow conditions to raw desert and back. Add in some rock sections and the fact that it was only a 4 mi uphill and then 12 mi downhill, and it was a great ride. We were in no rush and rested as much as we needed while shooting some great photos. Day two saw us moving our campsite in the canyon from the past two nights into the campground across the road from Slickrock Trail. This was again one of my all time favorite camp sites, butted against some huge slickrock …

NB….. 7-9 degrees is the night-time forecast. Which is pretty good for this time of year in the UK – we’re having amazing weather right now
Down vs synthetic? How are the different? Below 0. Good for indoor, outdoor, and in the car. interior and exterior needs to be nylon or a similar fabric. Also, i want to know which kind will last longer down vs synthetic.
6 arrested after Florida teen shot, his body burned in fire pit Six people were arrested this week and accused of luring a 15-year-old boy to a Florida home, shooting him several times, burning his body in a fire pit and putting the remains into paint cans, authorities said. The killing occurred Sunday in the central Florida city of Ocala, according to a statement from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Two females in the group allegedly lured the victim, Seath Jackson, to the home, and the group beat him with a wooden object. He was then shot several times with a .22-caliber gun, authorities said. As the wounded teen attempted to flee, he was tackled and shot again, according to the sheriff’s statement. His body was allegedly placed in a sleeping bag and burned in a fire pit outside the home. His ashes were placed into several paint containers and thrown into a large garbage can, authorities said. Authorities said they learned of the alleged plot from a member of the group who confessed to witnessing the killing. Four adults and two minors were charged in connection with the killing.
